We are a small farm located in Lufkin, Texas that specializes in breeding towards vibrant colors and speckles. We sell hatching eggs for you to be able to collect your own rainbow basket.
By purchasing hatching eggs from my breeding program, you are skipping the hard work of learning chicken egg color genetics and diving straight into a beautiful basket.
OUR BREEDS:
Silverudd are my favorite breed to work with! I have been able to maintain some beautiful splash plumage and speckles within my flock. Birds come in black blue or splash. My rooster is tested for the blue gene to ensure future generations carry on the egg color that we seek.
Marans are another breeding pen that we have set up to add color to our basket. Our Marans lay eggs with heavy blooms and speckles at times, leaving behind the prettiest eggs! We also use Marans to make our multi-generational olive eggers.
Our speckled mixed eggs are perfect if you are looking to add speckles to your basket. I use both hens that carry speckles, as well as roosters that carry speckles in order to achieve my goals.
Araucana are a rare chicken that you will not find at a hatchery. They are rumpless and can have ear tufts. They are listed as "critical", in terms of extinction by the Livestock Conservancy. They are a true blue layer and lay a powder blue shade of egg.
Our rainbow dozens are a mix of all the hens eggs that we love. Some are pure bred &some are hybrid breeds that I have made in order to achieve more vibrancy or speckles.

My Frizzle pen has been my latest breeding project. I have crossed some birds in order to use a Fibro rooster that is homozygous for the blue gene and part Silverudd over frizzle hens in order to achieve a Frizzle chicken that lays blue/green speckled eggs.
